CAMERON MENZIES will go from fixing leaks to aiming for a 180 in front of a raucous Alexandra Palace crowd.

The Scot faces Rusty-Jake Rodriguez in the first round of the PDC World Championships tonight.

But he is warming up in unusual fashion as he has first got to finish his shift as a plumber.

To make ends meet, Menzies balances his day job with being a professional darts player.

And he was surprisingly working just hours before he is set to step out at Ally Pally.

Menzies posted a picture on social media of him on his knees in a customer's bathroom with the caption: "Working before the World's. What a joy."

The 34-year-old revealed he could not get the entire day off despite making the request when the draw was released.

He was instead kindly given a half shift by his boss to allow him time to rush from his job in Milton Keynes to North London.

Menzies even found time to quickly take a snap of himself in a bathroom mirror as he darted off for this evening's first round clash.

He wrote on Twitter: "Plumbing at 11. Darts at 8. Finished."

A good run at the World Championships could see him hang up his spanners and pipe wrenches as the winner takes home a whopping £500,000.

The man nicknamed "Cammy" made the second round last year and reaching the same stage will see him take home £7,500.

Balancing jobs is not without it's problems, telling SunSport: "I had issues with my hands at the Players Championship.

"It happens after I use certain power tools which vibrate. My hands were a bit numb-ish."

Menzies is part of a darts super-couple with girlfriend Fallon Sherrock.

She is also in action tonight against Jermaine Wattimena.
